CHARMING INTERNATIONAL MINI-WEDDING IN PORTUGAL

Caeli, Canadian, and Scott Australian met in San Francisco where they got engaged under the Golden Gate Bridge. This bridge is a sister Bridge of the also iconic 25 de Abril Bridge in Lisbon. With this curious fact in mind and the reality that their close family and friends live spread over all continents, Caeli and Scott started evaluating the chances of getting married in Portugal. The country’s central geographical location was a strong point since it would inevitably shorten everyone’s travel distances.

Another of Portugal’s appealing features for their Destination Wedding was its culture and touristic attractions. This creative couple wished to have a Buddymoon instead of a Honeymoon along with the Bride’s two sisters and two of the Grooms best friends. And all were quite curious to visit Lisbon for the first time. Eventually, they decided their Destination Wedding would take place in Portugal.

From the decision of getting married in Portugal to choosing Villa da Guia | Portugal Wedding Villa it was a small step. Our Wedding Venue is remarkably located between Lisbon and Sintra, two of Portugal’s most sought out locations, right by the sea. Besides, we provide the best of both worlds for weddings: hassle-free all-inclusive wedding packages with accommodation at a five-star boutique hotel. Villa Guia | Portugal Wedding Villa is located 30-min away from Lisbon International Airport making it very comfortable for international arrival and departures, especially for people travelling intercontinental flights.

Caeli and Scott had a fun, relaxed yet elegant Wedding day, in a cosy, intimate mood provided by the small group of family and friends. The Bride’s preparations at the Bridal Suite were joyful and heartwarming. Her bouquet’s bright orange palette and the profusion of different flowers accented the irreverent elegancy of her embroidered, mermaid style Bridal gown with subtle transparent waist sides.

The same bright orange colour palette inspired the outdoor Ceremony Arch floral decoration and the reception centrepieces, creating equally refined and welcoming ambiences for both wedding day moments. One of the cutest and most creative things the couple had on their wedding was the seating plan for the Terrassa Restaurant panoramic view dining room which illustrated a world map with this well-humoured caption: “Where in the World are you seating?”. And this is why we find that Caeli and Scott’s was an authentic Destination Wedding.
